Terry Hines Expands Creative Portfolio with Acquisition of MDRN Logic

Terry Hines & Associates has expanded its creative capabilities through the acquisition of content studio MDRN Logic. Announced on February 18, 2026, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This strategic acquisition is aimed at enhancing Terry Hines’ offerings as a marketing agency, providing clients with additional creative and design tools.

MDRN Logic brings valuable leadership, with Erica Coates serving as CEO, Michael Bennett as chief growth officer, and Allan Gungormez as chief strategy officer. The integration of MDRN Logic into the Terry Hines network aligns with the agency’s existing portfolio that includes digital and social agency Homebrew, out-of-home advertising firm THACreate, and event/experiential agency The MRKT.

In a statement reflecting on the current advertising landscape, Coates noted, “It’s clear we are at an inflection moment, where the traditional big agency is not as attractive to brands anymore.” This sentiment highlights a shifting preference among brands towards more agile and culturally relevant agency models. Grant Nemirow, chairman of Terry Hines, echoed this perspective, stating, “Modern Logic represents the kind of creative excellence and cultural relevance we always strive to deliver.”

MDRN Logic has already garnered recognition in the industry, having won the Grand Prix Titanium at Cannes Lions for its innovative DoorDash campaign developed in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy. Currently, the studio is also working with Sony and has a history of high-profile projects, including campaigns for Epic Games and content creation for the Gushers brand’s “Fruithead” initiative.

The acquisition of MDRN Logic not only strengthens Terry Hines’ creative proposition but also signals a broader trend within the marketing agency sector, where agencies are increasingly looking to enhance their creative capabilities to meet the evolving demands of clients in a rapidly changing marketplace.
