Shamrock Capital Acquires Mutiny Marketing Agency to Bolster Gaming Sector

Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, announced its acquisition of Mutiny, a creative agency specialised in connecting brands with gaming audiences. The deal, confirmed on February 24, 2026, aims to accelerate Mutiny’s growth, solidifying its status as a leading agency in the gaming-focused creative space.
The investment comes from the Shamrock Capital Clover Fund I, LP, their inaugural small-cap private equity fund raised in 2024. Founded in 2021, Mutiny has positioned itself as a high-growth agency committed to creating meaningful connections between publishers, brands, and gaming communities. With deep industry expertise and research-driven capabilities, Mutiny assists brands in engaging effectively with gaming audiences by combining player-first content, social strategies, and community engagement.
Sam Halls and Ryan Smiley, Partners and co-heads of Shamrock’s Clover Fund, expressed their confidence in Mutiny’s capabilities, stating, “We believe Mutiny is a leading agency with a unique capability set and an exceptional understanding of how to connect with players.” They noted that gaming is one of the most rapidly evolving sectors of media and entertainment and highlighted the agency’s outstanding reputation as a trusted partner to major game franchises.
The acquisition marks a strategic move for Shamrock, which aims to leverage its extensive experience in agency investments to support Mutiny’s growth, both organically and via strategic acquisitions. Halls and Smiley emphasised the importance of preserving Mutiny’s unique culture and core values throughout this growth phase.
Mutiny is being acquired from Trailer Park Group, a global entertainment marketing and content production agency that incubated Mutiny’s division in 2021. Geordie Larratt-Smith, CEO of Mutiny, expressed excitement about the partnership with Shamrock, underscoring that their support validates the agency’s player-first approach. He conveyed gratitude towards Trailer Park Group for their role in Mutiny’s development, stating, “We’ve been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in gaming and with the support of the Shamrock platform, we’re excited to continue scaling Mutiny and expanding our capabilities to help clients better connect with players and communities everywhere.”
Legal advisory for Shamrock Capital during the transaction was provided by Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Trailer Park Group was advised by Ropes & Gray LLP, and Moelis & Company served as their financial advisor.
Shamrock Capital manages approximately $7 billion in assets as of February 13, 2026, with a primary focus on investing in media, entertainment, communications, and related sectors. Founded in 1978 as the family investment company of Roy E. Disney, Shamrock has evolved into an institutionally backed firm engaging with a diverse group of investors.
This acquisition demonstrates Shamrock Capital’s commitment to expanding its portfolio within the growing gaming sector, reinforcing the significance of specialised agencies that understand the nuances of connecting with gamers and their communities.
