Mark Allen & Co. Expands Footprint with Acquisition of Alban Communications

Mark Allen & Co., a public relations firm headquartered in New York with an office in Los Angeles, has acquired Alban Communications, marking the firm's first foray into the Miami market. Following the acquisition, the Alban Communications name will be retired, and all existing clients will transition to Mark Allen & Co.

Alban Communications was founded in 2008 by Frances Alban, who boasts an impressive background with previous roles at Weber Shandwick, Hill & Knowlton, and Jack Morton Worldwide. The agency has a solid track record of serving clients in South Florida and beyond, representing notable organisations such as the World Trade Center Miami, the City of Miami, Douglas Elliman, Compass Real Estate, the Florida Department of Health, and the National Association of Women Business Owners.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Mark Allen & Co's capabilities in key areas including US Hispanic media, as well as residential and commercial real estate, and health and wellness sectors. Mark Pasetsky, founder and CEO of Mark Allen & Co., stated, "Bringing Frances into our leadership team enhances what we can deliver for clients. In an additional development in the public relations sector, Buchalter, a business law firm, has launched a crisis management and strategic response group. This new practice integrates attorneys across various disciplines, including investigations, disputes, cybersecurity and privacy, employment, corporate governance, and enterprise risk. Buchalter's crisis management group is designed to enable a coordinated response to crises, helping clients with rapid internal reviews, government investigations, major cyber and privacy incidents, leadership and workplace matters, emergency litigation, governance, and post-crisis remediation. Kristina D. Maritczak, Co-Leader of the new group, noted, "Crises today unfold in real time, under incomplete information and under significant public and regulatory pressure. Furthermore, 5W PR has expanded its beauty practice to incorporate TikTok Shop-aligned PR campaigns and creator amplification strategies. This strategic expansion aims to create programmes that integrate seamlessly with TikTok Shop initiatives, covering services like creator partnerships, content seeding, strategic pitch development, real-time trend activation, affiliate management, and measurement-driven amplification to enhance product visibility and engagement.
