DRP Group Acquires Liquona: Strengthening Creative Communications and Production Capabilities

Worcestershire-headquartered creative communications agency DRP Group has acquired South East-based production company Liquona, a strategic move aimed at enhancing its global film and animation offering. The acquisition was announced on 17 February 2026 and represents a continued period of growth for DRP Group, particularly following the recent opening of its new London headquarters, Studio Dean Street.

Liquona, a video production agency located in Leatherhead, is known for its craft-led content, partnering with notable brands such as PepsiCo, DHL eCommerce, and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The production company offers a diverse range of services, including live action, animation, virtual reality, 3D photorealistic renders, and broadcast content. Founded by industry professionals Matt Day and Oliver Hall, Liquona aims to leverage DRP Group’s resources and expertise while maintaining its brand’s independence and agility.

Matt Day, co-founder of Liquona, stated that the acquisition would enable the company to expand its service offerings significantly. He emphasised the importance of retaining the strong client relationships that Liquona has perfected over the years, assuring stakeholders that despite the integration with DRP Group, the brand would preserve its boutique feel and client-centric approach.

Dale Parmenter, Chief Executive of DRP Group, acknowledged the unique synergies between the two companies, asserting that Liquona is the ideal fit for the group. He highlighted the strategic value that Liquona brings to DRP Group’s corporate film capabilities, attributing it to the agency’s decade-long history of trust in the industry.

Parmenter also pointed out that the timing of this acquisition aligns with the opening of Studio Dean Street, which enhances the group’s presence in London and reinforces its commitment to investing in film and animation as core aspects of the business. This strategic focus underscores DRP Group’s ambition to cater to some of the world’s most prominent brands through high-quality and impactful creative work.

Scott Horsfield, Director of Film at DRP Group, further elaborated on the integration, mentioning that Liquona’s expertise in creativity, skill, and agility complements the existing capabilities within DRP Group’s film division. He expressed that this collaboration would allow Liquona to scale its abilities, taking on more ambitious projects while still retaining the agility that defines their success.

The acquisition by DRP Group is indicative of the buoyant environment for M&A activity within the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors, which has seen a surge in recent years as agencies seek to innovate and enhance their service offerings through strategic acquisitions. This trend highlights a growing recognition of the value that creative collaboration can bring in a competitive marketplace.

Overall, the acquisition of Liquona by DRP Group is poised to have a significant impact on the creative communications landscape, fostering enhanced capabilities in film and animation, and demonstrating the agency’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to its clients.
